August 16, Wednesday: Yellowstone, WY to Cody, WY
This morning, we took pictures with Bob and Carol, said goodbye, and left by 10am to get on the road to Cody. The road out of the east side of the park was under construction so Jack drove the RV and I drove the car for about 15 miles to avoid rock damage to the front of the car; otherwise, an easy drive to Cody.
After getting settled in our campground, we went to the huge Buffalo Bill Museum and Historical Center. This actually houses museums for art, firearms, Buffalo Bill, natural history and Indians. The ticket is good for two days because the place is so big!
August 17, Thursday: Cody, WY
We drove around the downtown, returned to the museum to see what we’d missed the day before and relaxed.
August 18, Friday: Cody, WY
We headed northwest out of Cody to drive the scenic part of the Beartooth Highway. It was incredibly rugged and beautiful.
